With over 10,500 employees working across hundreds of districts and 10 departments, internal communication and access to tools and information are critical to their daily operations.
Project Goals
The goal of the project was to revamp Skatteverket’s internal intranet, transitioning it from a generic and complex structure to a personalised and user-centered platform. The aim was to ensure each employee could easily access tools, services, and content relevant to their specific role and department.
My Role: Product Designer

• Site Structure – Designed a clear and scalable information architecture tailored to different user roles.
• Accessibility – Ensured compliance with WCAG standards to support inclusivity across all employee groups.
• Style Guide – Defined UI components, color usage, typography, and iconography for a consistent visual language.
• UI Design – Created clean, user-friendly interface components aligned with the agency’s brand and internal guidelines.
• Prototyping – Developed interactive prototypes for testing and stakeholder alignment.
• User Testing – Conducted iterative usability testing to validate design decisions and improve overall experience.
Outcome
